Established in 2017, the Jeffrey T. Ortiz Memorial Scholarship Fund awards 2 scholarships to eligible graduating seniors from Sharyland Pioneer Memorial High School.  The purpose of the scholarship fund is to raise awareness of congenital heart defects and to honor the memory of Jeffrey Ortiz who fought his own battle with a heart defect until his passing in 2017.
